WHAT IS COLOR RUN?

Color run is an untimed event that has no winners or prizes, but runners are showered with colored powder, made of food grade, corn starch, at stations along the run.

 

 

HOW DOES THE EVENT WORK?

Less about how fast you get to the finish line and more about having the time of your life, Velocity Run has only two rules:

1. Wear white at the starting line with a smile on your face

2. Finish plastered in color with you laughing your heart out 

 

 

WHY SHOULD I JOIN?

Not only it is a color festival, it is a charity run that aims to raise fund for children suffering from congenital heart disease. So not only do we make ourselves healthier and happier, we help one child from not missing an awesome childhood life you and I both have. 

 

 

DO I HAVE TO BE A RUNNER TO JOIN?

Nah-uh. This is not a race; your speed is untimed and unrecorded. Velocity Run aims to be all about having fun, playing with different colors with friends, classmates and even family. You can run, walk, crawl or whatever you wish doing as long as you are having fun.

 

 

 

 

HOW IS THE COLOR ADMINISTERED ALONG THE RACE?

There will be group of smiling face along the course whose job is to shower you in colorful powder. The main objective here is to make you look like you ran through a rain of colors at the end of the finish line.

 

 

WILL THE COLOR RUIN CLOTHES OR RUNNING SHOES?

Color that will be used in the even can be washed out after. For precaution, we suggest wearing items you wouldn’t mind getting colorful. If you would like to preserve the color in your shirt, spray it with vinegar and iron it.

 

 

IF THE RUN IS UNTIMED, CAN I RUN AS LONG AS I WANT?

Oh my goodness, no. 11AM sunshine is a pain in the ass. We don’t want to have skin cancer, do we? Although we will wait for you at the end of the line and we want you to have the best time of your life, please do not take the entire morning to finish the course. 

 

 

WHAT ARE THE COLOR POWDERS MADE OF?

Powders that will be used are made of flour and food dye; so rest assured that they are safe to use.

You can register in two ways. One, if you are around the area (UP Manila), you can drop by at our college, College of Pharmacy and register with any of our event’s team member.
